ईशानकल्पवृत्तान्तः तथा लैङ्गपुराणस्य संक्षेप-सूची
वैन्येन पृथुना भूमेः पुरा दोहप्रवर्तनम् देवासुरे पुरा लब्धो भृगुशापश् च विष्णुना
vainyena pṛthunā bhūmeḥ purā dohapravartanam devāsure purā labdho bhṛguśāpaś ca viṣṇunā
Antigamente, Pṛthu—filho de Vena—pôs em movimento a “ordenha” da Terra, extraindo dela o sustento para o mundo. E em eras remotas, quando Devas e Asuras contendiam, até mesmo Viṣṇu veio a suportar a maldição de Bhṛgu—mostrando que o operar do dharma e da lei cósmica vincula todo poder encarnado sob o Senhor supremo (Pati), o regente interior de todos.
