Kena Upanishad 12 — Verse 12

स तस्मिन्नेवाकाशे स्त्रियमाजगाम बहुशोभमानामुमां हैमवतीम्। तां ह उवाच—किमेतद्यक्षमिति॥१२॥

सः । तस्मिन् । एव । आकाशे । स्त्रियम् । आजगाम । बहु-शोभमानाम् । उमाम् । हैमवतीम् । ताम् । ह । उवाच । किम् । एतत् । यक्षम् । इति ॥१२॥

sa tasminn evākāśe striyam ājagāma bahuśobhamānām umāṃ haimavatīm | tāṃ ha uvāca—kim etad yakṣam iti ||12||

ਉਸੇ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਹੀ ਤੇਜਸਵੀ, ਅਤਿ ਸ਼ੋਭਾਵਾਨ ਉਮਾ ਹੈਮਵਤੀ ਨਾਮ ਦੀ ਇਸਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ—“ਇਹ ਯਕਸ਼ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ?”॥੧੨॥

He (Indra) came, in that very space, upon a woman—Uma Haimavatī—radiant with great splendor. He said to her: “What is this Yakṣa?”
