तासां तद्वचनं श्रुत्वा दक्षः कोपमुपागतः । गत्वा चंद्रं महादेवि शशाप प्रमुखे स्थितम्
tāsāṃ tadvacanaṃ śrutvā dakṣaḥ kopamupāgataḥ | gatvā caṃdraṃ mahādevi śaśāpa pramukhe sthitam
ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦਕ੍ਸ਼ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ। ਹੇ ਮਹਾਦੇਵੀ! ਉਹ ਚੰਦਰਮਾ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮੁਖ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਪ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
