एवमुक्तस्तु दैत्येंद्रो दुःखितोऽचिंतयद्धृदि । आसुरेष्वपि भावेषु स्पृहा यद्यपि नास्ति मे
evamuktastu daityeṃdro duḥkhito'ciṃtayaddhṛdi | āsureṣvapi bhāveṣu spṛhā yadyapi nāsti me
ਇਉਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਦੈਤਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਇੰਦਰ, ਦੁਖੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ: “ਭਾਵੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਸੁਰੀ ਸੁਭਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਰੀਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਲਾਲਸਾ ਨਹੀਂ…।”
