वरणधातुरर्केन्दू तुदते सर्वपर्वणि । विक्षेपावनतेर्वंगाद्रा हुर्दूरगतस्तयोः ॥ ८० ॥

Transliteration

varaṇadhāturarkendū tudate sarvaparvaṇi | vikṣepāvanatervaṃgādrā hurdūragatastayoḥ || 80 ||

Translation

‘ਵਰਣ’ ਧਾਤੁ ‘ਅਰਕ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਇੰਦੂ’ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮਾਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸੰਧੀ-ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੋਟ ਮਾਰਦੀ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ‘ਵਿਕਸ਼ੇਪ’ ਤੇ ‘ਅਵਨਤੀ’ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ‘ਵੰਗਾ’ ਅਤੇ ‘ਅਦ੍ਰਾ’ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
