Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It links sacred practice to cosmic order by presenting Surya as the regulator of time-divisions, implying that dharma, vrata-timing, and disciplined life align with an intelligible, divinely governed rhythm.
While not directly prescribing bhakti, it supports devotional discipline by grounding worship, fasts, and observances in proper kala (time-reckoning), a key aid to steady, rule-based devotion.
Vedanga Jyotisha (time calculation) is indicated through ayana/ṛtu/māsa divisions governed by Surya; it is the practical basis for calendrical decisions in Narada Purana rituals and vrata schedules.
