छाया श्रृङ्गोन्नतियुती पातसाधानमीरितम् । जातके राशिभेदाश्च ग्रहयोनिश्च योनिजम् ॥ ४ ॥

Transliteration

chāyā śrṛṅgonnatiyutī pātasādhānamīritam | jātake rāśibhedāśca grahayoniśca yonijam || 4 ||

Translation

ਛਾਇਆ-ਸ਼ੰਕੂ, ਸ਼੍ਰਿੰਗ-ਯੰਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚਾਈ-ਮਾਪ ਆਦਿ ਨਾਲ ‘ਪਾਤ’ (ਅਵਨਤੀ) ਨਿਰਧਾਰਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਧੀ ਦੱਸੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ। ਜਾਤਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਰਾਸ਼ੀ-ਭੇਦ, ਗ੍ਰਹ-ਯੋਨੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਯੋਨਿਜ ਦਾ ਵਰਣਨ ਹੈ।
