ऋष्युदात्तेज्जुषीपूर्वा अत्मनेपदिनोर्णवाः । व्रश्चादय उदात्तेतः प्रोक्ताः पंचाधिकं शतम् ॥ ५८ ॥

‘ਸ਼੍ਯੁਦਾਤ੍ਤ’ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ‘ਜੁਸ਼ੀ’ ਉਪਸਰਗ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ‘ਆਤਮਨੇਪਦ-ਰੂਪਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ’ ਨਾਮਕ ਵਰਗ ਵਰਣਿਤ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ‘ਵ੍ਰਸ਼੍ਚ’ ਤੋਂ ਆਰੰਭ ਉਦਾਤ੍ਤ-ਸੁਰ ਵਾਲੀਆਂ ਧਾਤੂਆਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੌ ਪੰਜ ਕਹੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
