karmabhāvātmikā hyekā brahmabhāvātmikā parā | ubhayātmikā tathaivānyā trividhā bhāvabhāvanā || 25 ||
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Moksha-dharma dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It classifies bhāvanā (inner contemplative cultivation) into three modes—karma-oriented, Brahman-oriented, and mixed—showing a graded path from purified action to nondual realization.
While the verse speaks in terms of bhāvanā, it supports bhakti by emphasizing inner attitude: devotion can begin with dutiful action offered in the right spirit (karma-bhāva) and mature toward absorption in the Supreme reality (brahma-bhāva).
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught in this verse; the practical takeaway is sādhana-vidhi—training one’s bhāva through disciplined action, contemplation, and integration of both.
