Adhyaya 83 — The Slaying of Mahishasura’s Armies and the Final Death of Mahishasura
सा क्षिप्त्वा तस्य वै पाशं तं बबन्ध महासुरम् ।
तत्याज माहिषं रूपं सोऽपि बद्धो महामृधे ॥
sā kṣiptvā tasya vai pāśaṃ taṃ babandha mahāsuram /
tatyāja māhiṣaṃ rūpaṃ so 'pi baddho mahāmṛdhe
ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਾਸਾ ਸੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਹਾਂ ਅਸੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਲਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਂ ਯੁੱਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੱਝਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਹਿਸ਼-ਰੂਪ ਤਿਆਗ ਕੇ (ਹੋਰ ਰੂਪ) ਧਾਰ ਲਿਆ।
