Janaka–Sulabhā Dialogue on Mokṣa and Non-attachment
विविक्तशीलाय विधिप्रियाय विवादहीनाय बहुश्रुताय । विजानते चैव न चाहिततक्षमे दमे च शक्ताय शमे च देयम्
viviktaśīlāya vidhipriyāya vivādahīnāya bahuśrutāya | vijānate caiva na cāhitakṣame dame ca śaktāya śame ca deyam ||
ਇਹ ਦਾਨ/ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਉਸ ਪੁਰਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸੁਭਾਉ ਇਕਾਂਤਪ੍ਰਿਯ ਤੇ ਸੰਯਮੀ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜੋ ਵਿਧੀ-ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਜਾਣੇ, ਜੋ ਵਿਵਾਦ ਤੋਂ ਰਹਿਤ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜੋ ਬਹੁਸ਼੍ਰੁਤ ਹੋਵੇ; ਜੋ ਯਥਾਰਥ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜੋ ਅਨੁਚਿਤ ਨੂੰ ਸਹਿੰਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਇੰਦ੍ਰੀ-ਦਮ ਤੇ ਮਨ-ਸ਼ਮ—ਦੋਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਮਰੱਥ ਹੋਵੇ।
