तमो ऽभिभूते लोके ऽस्मिन् प्रभा येन प्रवर्तिता स्वस्त्यस्तु हि तवेत्युक्ते पतन्निह दिवाकरः
Transliteration
tamo 'bhibhūte loke 'smin prabhā yena pravartitā svastyastu hi tavetyukte patanniha divākaraḥ
Translation
ਜਦੋਂ ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਤਮਸ ਨਾਲ ਘਿਰ ਗਿਆ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਾਇਆ। ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ—“ਤੇਰਾ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਹੋਵੇ”—ਤਦ ਦਿਵਾਕਰ ਇੱਥੇ ਉਤਰ ਆਇਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਪਰਮ ਤਮੋ-ਨਾਸ਼ਕ ਨੂੰ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ।
