सप्तद्वीप-सप्तसमुद्र-वर्णनम् तथा प्रियव्रतवंश-राज्यविभागः

कुशलदेशः कुशले मनुगस्य मनोनुगः उष्णस्योष्णः स्मृतो देशः पीवरः पीवरस्य च

Transliteration

kuśaladeśaḥ kuśale manugasya manonugaḥ uṣṇasyoṣṇaḥ smṛto deśaḥ pīvaraḥ pīvarasya ca

Translation

ਕੁਸ਼ਲ ਲਈ ‘ਕੁਸ਼ਲਦੇਸ਼’ ਹੀ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ; ਮਨੁਗ ਲਈ ‘ਮਨੋਨੁਗ’—ਜੋ ਮਨ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਹੋਵੇ। ਉਸ਼ਣ ਸੁਭਾਵ ਵਾਲੇ ਲਈ ‘ਉਸ਼ਣ’ ਦੇਸ਼ ਕਿਹਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ; ਅਤੇ ਪੀਵਰ ਲਈ ‘ਪੀਵਰ’ ਦੇਸ਼।
