सप्तद्वीप-सप्तसमुद्र-वर्णनम् तथा प्रियव्रतवंश-राज्यविभागः

अलदं जलदस्याथ वर्षं प्रथममुच्यते कुमारस्य तु कौमारं द्वितीयं परिकीर्तितम्

Transliteration

aladaṃ jaladasyātha varṣaṃ prathamamucyate kumārasya tu kaumāraṃ dvitīyaṃ parikīrtitam

Translation

ਜਲਦ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਪਹਿਲਾ ‘ਵਰ੍ਹਸ਼’ (ਵਰ੍ਹਾ-ਰੂਪ) ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਦੂਜਾ ‘ਕੌਮਾਰ’ (ਬਾਲ ਅਵਸਥਾ) ਘੋਸ਼ਿਤ ਹੈ।
