Sukta 3
अयं ग्रावा पृथुबुध्नो वयोधाः पूतः पवित्रैरप हन्तु रक्षः । आ रोह चर्म महि शर्म यच्छ मा दंपती पौत्रमघं नि गाताम्
ayáṃ grā́vā pr̥thubúdhno vayodhā́ḥ pūtáḥ pavítrair ápa hantu rákṣaḥ | ā róha cárma máhi śárma yaccha mā dámpatī páutram agháṃ ní gātām ||
This stone, broad-based, life-sustaining, purified with purifiers, shall smite away the Rákṣas. Mount thou the hide; vouchsafe great shelter: let not the wedded pair fall down into evil that toucheth their descendants.
ਇਹ ਗ੍ਰਾਵਾ (ਪੱਥਰ), ਚੌੜੇ ਆਧਾਰ ਵਾਲਾ, ਪ੍ਰਾਣ-ਧਾਰਕ, ਪਵਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਰਕਸ਼ਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਮਾਰੇ। ਤੂੰ ਚਰਮ (ਚਮੜਾ) ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ; ਮਹਾਨ ਆਸਰਾ ਬਖ਼ਸ਼: ਦੰਪਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੌਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੂਹਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਘ (ਪਾਪ/ਅਮੰਗਲ) ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਡਿੱਗਣ।
