आदावानीय कुम्भोदं गोचरे सन्निधाय च दत्त्वा सुदर्शनं तत्र याम्ये चक्रे हुनेत् क्रमात्

ādāvānīya kumbhodaṃ gocare sannidhāya ca dattvā sudarśanaṃ tatra yāmye cakre hunet kramāt

ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਕੂੰਭ ਦਾ ਜਲ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਯਜ੍ਞ-ਪਰਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨੇੜੇ ਰੱਖੇ। ਫਿਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਸੁਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਕਰਕੇ, ਚਕ੍ਰ-ਮੰਡਲ ਦੇ ਦੱਖਣ (ਯਾਮ੍ਯ) ਵਰਤੁਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਹਵਨ ਕਰੇ।
