viśāle tu kṛte devyā locane viṣṇudarśanāt | viśālākṣī tato jātā tatrasthā daityanāśinī

ବିଷ୍ଣୁଦର୍ଶନରେ ଦେବୀ ଯେତେବେଳେ ନିଜ ନୟନକୁ ବିଶାଳ କଲେ, ସେତେବେଳେ ସେ ‘ବିଶାଳାକ୍ଷୀ’ ନାମେ ପ୍ରସିଦ୍ଧ ହେଲେ; ସେଠାରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ହୋଇ ଦୈତ୍ୟନାଶିନୀ ହେଲେ।
