ईश्वर उवाच । ततो गच्छेन्महादेवि देविकातटसंस्थितम् । जालेश्वरेति विख्यातं सुरासुरनमस्कृतम्

ଈଶ୍ୱର କହିଲେ—ତତ୍ପରେ, ହେ ମହାଦେବୀ, ଦେବିକା ନଦୀତଟରେ ଅବସ୍ଥିତ ସେଇ ପୁଣ୍ୟସ୍ଥାନକୁ ଯିବା ଉଚିତ; ଯାହା ‘ଜାଲେଶ୍ୱର’ ନାମେ ବିଖ୍ୟାତ ଏବଂ ଦେବ-ଅସୁର ଉଭୟଙ୍କ ଦ୍ୱାରା ନମସ୍କୃତ।
