Sages (dvijas/munis) addressing Gaurī (Umā)
Scene: A circle of ṛṣis/brāhmaṇas with matted hair and deer-skins bow with folded hands to slender-waisted Umā, who stands serene, indicating the direction of Rudra’s abode; the atmosphere is reverent and anticipatory.
Humility and reverence open the path to darśana; seekers approach Śiva through devotion to Umā.
Prabhāsa Kṣetra’s sacred network, where guidance toward Śiva’s darśana is part of the site’s māhātmya.
Bowing/prostration (praṇāma) is shown as the immediate devotional act before asking for spiritual instruction.
