udayāstamane nityaṃ paryastaḥ syāddivākaraḥ | vyadṛśyata sakṛtpuṃbhiḥ kabandhaiḥ parivāritaḥ

ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟୋଦୟ ଓ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟାସ୍ତ ସମୟରେ ସୂର୍ଯ୍ୟ ସଦା ବିକୃତ ଭଳି ଲାଗୁଥିଲେ। କେବେ କେବେ ମନୁଷ୍ୟମାନେ ଦେଖୁଥିଲେ, ଯେନେ ସେ ମୁଣ୍ଡହୀନ ଧଡ଼ (କବନ୍ଧ) ଦ୍ୱାରା ଘେରାଯାଇଛନ୍ତି—ଭୟଙ୍କର ଦୃଶ୍ୟ।
