पितॄन्हत्वा सुमाली च तमाराधितवान्पुरा । सोऽपि मुक्तोऽभवद्देवि पापात्पितृवधोद्भवात्
pitṝnhatvā sumālī ca tamārādhitavānpurā | so'pi mukto'bhavaddevi pāpātpitṛvadhodbhavāt
ସୁମାଳୀ ମଧ୍ୟ—ପୂର୍ବେ ପିତୃମାନଙ୍କୁ ହତ୍ୟା କରି—ତାଙ୍କୁ (ଶିବଙ୍କୁ) ଭକ୍ତିରେ ଆରାଧନା କଲେ। ହେ ଦେବୀ, ପିତୃବଧଜନିତ ପାପରୁ ସେ ମଧ୍ୟ ମୁକ୍ତ ହେଲେ।
