कपालीति महेशानो दक्षेणोक्तः पुरा हरः । तेन यज्ञस्य विध्वंसं कपाली तमथाकरोत् । कपालेश्वरनामेति स्थितोस्मिन्मानवान्तरे
kapālīti maheśāno dakṣeṇoktaḥ purā haraḥ | tena yajñasya vidhvaṃsaṃ kapālī tamathākarot | kapāleśvaranāmeti sthitosminmānavāntare
ପୂର୍ବକାଳରେ ଦକ୍ଷ ମହେଶାନ ହରଙ୍କୁ “କପାଳୀ” ବୋଲି ସମ୍ବୋଧନ କରିଥିଲେ। ସେହି କାରଣରୁ କପାଳୀ ସେଇ ଯଜ୍ଞର ବିଧ୍ୱଂସ କଲେ। ଏହି ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ମନ୍ୱନ୍ତରରେ ସେ ଏଠାରେ “କପାଳେଶ୍ୱର” ନାମରେ ପ୍ରତିଷ୍ଠିତ ଅଛନ୍ତି।
