prahlāda uvāca | śrūyatāmṛṣayaḥ sarve gadato mama vistarāt | yathā śāpodbhavaṃ duḥkhaṃ mumoca harivallabhā
Prahlāda
Tirtha: Dvāravatī (Dvārakā)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Ṛṣis (sages)
Scene: Prahlāda, serene and radiant, addresses assembled sages, promising a detailed account of how Rukmiṇī was freed from Durvāsas’ curse-born sorrow; the moment is a formal ‘kathā-beginning’.
Even curse-born suffering can be overcome through divine order and sacred narrative remembrance centered on Hari.
The setting belongs to Dvārakā Māhātmya, pointing to Dvārakā’s sacred landscape within the Prabhāsa-khaṇḍa.
No explicit rite is stated here; the verse functions as a narrative preface to the account.
