Śiva
Tirtha: Dvārakā
Type: kshetra
Listener: Brāhmaṇa/assembly
Scene: A devotee far from the sea sits with a palm-leaf manuscript, reciting Dvārakā-māhātmya; above, a visionary Dvārakā appears—temple spires, sea, and Kṛṣṇa’s blessing hand—signifying ‘attainment by grace’.
Devotional recitation of a sacred place’s Māhātmya functions as a bridge to its grace, even from afar.
Dvārakā and its Māhātmya (glorification) are explicitly praised.
Pāṭha/recitation of the Dvārakā Māhātmya, especially on a day sacred to the deity (maddine).
