yugādiṣu ca saṃpūjya hyayane dakṣiṇottare | āṣāḍhajyeṣṭhamāgheṣu pauṣādidvādaśīṣu ca

ୟୁଗାଦି ଦିନରେ, ଦକ୍ଷିଣାୟନ-ଉତ୍ତରାୟନ ସନ୍ଧିକାଳରେ, ଆଷାଢ, ଜ୍ୟେଷ୍ଠ ଓ ମାଘ ମାସରେ, ଏବଂ ପୌଷ ଆଦିରୁ ଆରମ୍ଭ ହେଉଥିବା ଦ୍ୱାଦଶୀ ବ୍ରତତିଥିରେ ବିଧିପୂର୍ବକ ପୂଜା କଲେ ମହାପୁଣ୍ୟ ଲଭ୍ୟ ହୁଏ।
