Deductive (narrator reporting the wife’s counsel within the story)
Tirtha: Arbuda-kṣetra (context)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A poor couple stands with gold in hand; the wife gently but firmly stops the acceptance, insisting the lotuses be given freely for Śiva worship.
Offerings meant for worship should be handled with purity and non-commercial intent; dharma can speak through wise household counsel.
Arbuda-kṣetra (Arbuda region) where Śiva’s worship is being extolled in this chapter.
A restraint: not accepting payment (mūlya) connected to the sacred lotuses intended for Śiva-pūjā.
