पुलस्त्य उवाच । पुरा वृष्टिनिरोधोऽभूद्यावद्द्वादशवत्सरान् । संशयं परमं प्राप्तः सर्वो लोकः क्षुधार्दितः
pulastya uvāca | purā vṛṣṭinirodho'bhūdyāvaddvādaśavatsarān | saṃśayaṃ paramaṃ prāptaḥ sarvo lokaḥ kṣudhārditaḥ
ପୁଲସ୍ତ୍ୟ କହିଲେ: ପ୍ରାଚୀନ କାଳରେ ବାର ବର୍ଷ ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ବର୍ଷା ହୋଇନଥିଲା । ଭୋକରେ ପୀଡ଼ିତ ହୋଇ ସମଗ୍ର ସଂସାର ଘୋର ସଙ୍କଟ ଏବଂ ସଂଶୟରେ ପଡ଼ିଯାଇଥିଲା ।
