kruddhaṃ kapālinaṃ daityaḥ pracalatkarṇapallavaḥ | bhavaṃ ca dantairbibhide nābhideśe jagāsuraḥ
Lomaharṣaṇa (Sūta) to the sages
Scene: The elephant-asura, ears flaring like moving leaves, charges and drives tusks into Bhava’s navel region; Kapālī is also struck—an image of violent proximity and massive force.
Even when adharma strikes fiercely, the Purāṇas show divine steadiness—conflict becomes a stage for the restoration of order.
