Skanda (deduced: Kāśīkhaṇḍa commonly Skanda → Agastya)
Tirtha: Kāśī (Avimukta)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and Naimiṣāraṇya sages
Scene: A bustling temple courtyard: attendants unfurl massive banners and flags; parasols, yak-tail fans, and polished mirrors are presented as offerings; the donor distributes items generously, unwearied.
Supporting divine worship through gifts and service is itself a form of bhakti and earns puṇya in a sacred place.
Kāśī is the overarching tīrtha-context in this chapter of the Kāśīkhaṇḍa.
Donation of deva-upakaraṇas—banners, flags, parasols, cāmaras, mirrors—items used in temple honor and pūjā.
