Munis (addressing Yamadūtas)
Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā) context (sectional)
Type: river
Scene: A didactic tableau: the guru seated with disciples; shadowy figures representing guru-hantā, strī-ghna, bāla-brahma-ghātin; beside them, the ‘kṛtaghna’ shown as a severed bond (broken garland/ruptured thread) symbolizing betrayal.
The text elevates gratitude and loyalty as foundational virtues; betrayal of benefaction is treated as spiritually catastrophic.
No tīrtha is directly praised in this verse; it is a dharma statement within the Revā Khaṇḍa narrative frame.
Only a comparative rule: expiations exist for severe हिंसा-related sins, but not for kṛtaghna.
