An unnamed Brahmin (dvija) addressing Virocana’s household mistress
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"none","emotional_journey":"Measured insistence on verification—trust is deferred until the husband confirms, keeping the tone formal and restrained."}
It highlights dharmic discernment: trust (pratyaya) is strengthened by direct, responsible testimony—here, the husband’s own word—rather than hearsay.
Indirectly, it supports bhakti practice by emphasizing sincerity and सत्य (truthfulness): devotion is grounded in trustworthy speech and accountable conduct within dharma.
Vyākaraṇa-relevant nuance appears in the optative verb form “वदेत्” (would/should say), expressing conditional verification; practically, it teaches careful validation in dharmic decisions.
