मार्कण्डेय उवाच । किं लक्षणा भागवता जायन्ते केन कर्म्मणा । एतदिच्छाम्यहं श्रोतुं कौतूहलपरो यतः ॥ ४८ ॥

Transliteration

mārkaṇḍeya uvāca | kiṃ lakṣaṇā bhāgavatā jāyante kena karmmaṇā | etadicchāmyahaṃ śrotuṃ kautūhalaparo yataḥ || 48 ||

Translation

ମାର୍କଣ୍ଡେୟ କହିଲେ—ଭାଗବତମାନଙ୍କର ଲକ୍ଷଣ କ’ଣ? କେଉଁ କର୍ମ ଦ୍ୱାରା ସେମାନେ ଭାଗବତ ହୁଅନ୍ତି? ମୁଁ ଏହା ଶୁଣିବାକୁ ଇଚ୍ଛା କରୁଛି, କାରଣ ମୋର ଅତ୍ୟନ୍ତ କୌତୁହଳ।
