Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It teaches that humble, practical service—like preparing wicks, arranging oil for lamps, and keeping Viṣṇu’s abode clean—is itself a direct form of bhakti and a meritorious devotional discipline.
Bhakti is shown as consistent seva rather than mere speech: sustaining the temple-lamp (dīpa) and maintaining purity through cleaning are everyday acts that cultivate remembrance of Viṣṇu and steady devotion.
Ritual discipline (kalpa-oriented temple practice) is implied: correct upkeep of dīpa (lamp service) and śauca (cleanliness) as part of regular pūjā procedures, a key practical takeaway for Narada Purana rituals.
