Sukta 36
तन्नो वि वोचो यदि ते पुरा चिज्जरितार आनशुः सुम्नमिन्द्र । कस्ते भागः किं वयो दुध्र खिद्वः पुरुहूत पुरूवसोऽसुरघ्नः
tán no ví voco yádi te purā́ cíc jaritā́ra ānaśúḥ súmnam indra | kás te bhāgáḥ kíṃ váyo dudhra khidvo puruhūta purūvaso 'suraghnáḥ |
Declare to us that boon, if even of old the singers won thy grace, O Indra. What is thy portion? what thy vital might to bestow, O strong one, dispeller of distress—much-invoked, of ample wealth, slayer of the Asuras?
ହେ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ର, ସେଇ ଅନୁଗ୍ରହ-ଦାନ ଆମକୁ ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ କହ—ଯଦି ପୁରାତନ କାଳରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜରିତା (ସ୍ତୁତିକାର) ତୁମ ସୁମ୍ନ (କୃପା) ପାଇଥିଲେ। ତୁମ ଭାଗ କ’ଣ? କେଉଁ ପ୍ରାଣବଳ/ବୀର୍ୟ ତୁମେ ଦେବ? ହେ ବଳବାନ, ଦୁଃଖ-କ୍ଷୋଭ ନିବାରକ, ବହୁ-ଆହ୍ୱାନିତ, ପ୍ରଚୁର ଧନବାନ, ଅସୁରଘ୍ନ—ଆମକୁ ଜଣାଅ।
