Sukta 36
तमीमहे इन्द्रमस्य रायः पुरुवीरस्य नृवतः पुरुक्षोः । यो अस्कृधोयुरजरः स्वऽर्वान् तमा भर हरिवो मादयध्यै
tám īmahe índram asyá rāyáḥ puruvī́rasya nṛvátas purukṣóḥ | yó áskṛdhoyur ajáraḥ svàrvān tám ā́ bhara harivo mādayádhyai |
Him we beseech—Indra—for his wealth, rich in heroes, rich in men, of many homes: who is not stinting in bestowal, unaging, heaven-bright. Bring him hither, O thou of bay steeds, that he may be exhilarated.
ଆମେ ଇନ୍ଦ୍ରଙ୍କୁ—ତାଙ୍କର ଧନ ପାଇଁ—ପ୍ରାର୍ଥନା କରୁଛୁ: ଯିଏ ବହୁ ବୀରରେ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ, ନରବଳରେ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ, ଅନେକ ଗୃହର ଅଧିପତି; ଯିଏ ଦାନରେ କଦାପି କଞ୍ଜୁସ ନୁହେଁ, ଅଜର, ସ୍ୱର୍ଗ-ପ୍ରଭାମୟ। ହେ ହରିବୋ (ବୟ ଘୋଡ଼ାଯୁକ୍ତ), ତାଙ୍କୁ ଏଠାକୁ ଆଣ, ଯେଣୁ ସେ ଉଲ୍ଲସିତ ହେଉନ୍ତୁ।
