Sukta 5

अभिक्रन्दन् स्तनयन्नरुणः शितिङ्गो बृहच्छेपोऽनु भूमौ जभार । ब्रह्मचारी सिञ्चति सानौ रेतः पृथिव्यां तेन जीवन्ति प्रदिशश्चतस्रः

abhikrándan stanáyann aruṇáḥ śitíṅgo bṛhácchepo ’nú bhū́mau jabhāra | brahmacārī siñcati sā́nau rétaḥ pṛthivyā́ṃ téna jīvanti pradíśaś cátasraḥ ||

Roaring aloud, thundering, the ruddy one, bright-horned, great-trailed, bore it along and set it upon the earth. The Brahmacārin sprinkles seed upon the height; thereby the Earth is quickened, and by that the four quarters live.

ଗର୍ଜନ କରି, ଗଜ୍ଜନ କରି, ଅରୁଣବର୍ଣ୍ଣ, ଦୀପ୍ତଶୃଙ୍ଗ, ମହାପୁଛ୍ଛଚିହ୍ନଯୁକ୍ତ ସେ ତାହାକୁ ବହି ଭୂମି ଉପରେ ଆଣି ସ୍ଥାପନ କଲା। ବ୍ରହ୍ମଚାରୀ ଶିଖର ଉପରେ ରେତଃ (ବୀର୍ୟ) ସିଞ୍ଚନ କରେ; ତାହାଦ୍ୱାରା ପୃଥିବୀ ସଜୀବ ହୁଏ, ଏବଂ ତାହାଦ୍ୱାରା ଚାରି ଦିଗ ଜୀବନ୍ତ ରହେ।
