Verse 7

Nirvana

अथ निर्वाणोपनिषदं व्याख्यास्यामः । परमहंसः सोऽहम् । परिव्राजकाः पश्चिमलिङ्गाः । मन्मथः क्षेत्रपालः । गगनसिद्धान्तः अमृतकल्लोलनदी । अक्षयं निरञ्जनम् । निःसंशय ऋषिः । निर्वाणो देवता । निष्कुलप्रवृत्तिः । निष्केवलज्ञानम् ॥१–११॥

अथ । निर्वाण-उपनिषदम् । व्याख्यास्यामः । परमहंसः । सः । अहम् । परिव्राजकाः । पश्चिम-लिङ्गाः । मन्मथः । क्षेत्र-पालः । गगन-सिद्धान्तः । अमृत-कल्लोल-नदी । अक्षयम् । निरञ्जनम् । निःसंशयः । ऋषिः । निर्वाणः । देवता । निष्कुल-प्रवृत्तिः । निष्केवल-ज्ञानम् ॥

atha nirvāṇopaniṣadaṃ vyākhyāsyāmaḥ | paramahaṃsaḥ so’ham | parivrājakāḥ paścimaliṅgāḥ | manmathaḥ kṣetrapālaḥ | gaganasiddhāntaḥ amṛtakallolanadī | akṣayaṃ nirañjanam | niḥsaṃśaya ṛṣiḥ | nirvāṇo devatā | niṣkulapravṛttiḥ | niṣkevalajñānam ||1–11||

ယခု နိဗ္ဗာဏ ဥပနိသဒ်ကို ရှင်းလင်းဖော်ပြမည်။ «ငါသည် ပရမဟံသ ဖြစ်၏»။ လှည့်လည်သွားလာသော သံဃာ/သက်လွတ်ပုဂ္ဂိုလ်တို့၏ အမှတ်အသားများကို ‘အနောက်ဘက် အမှတ်တံဆိပ်’ ဟု ခေါ်ကြသည်။ မန္မထ သည် သန့်ရှင်းရာဝန်း၏ ကာကွယ်သူ ဖြစ်၏။ သဒ္ဓန္တ/သင်ခန်းစာသည် ‘ကောင်းကင်’ (ဂဂန-သိဒ္ဓာန္တ) ဖြစ်ပြီး မြစ်သည် လှိုင်းထန်သော အမృతမြစ် ဖြစ်၏။ ၎င်းသည် မပျက်မယွင်း၊ အညစ်အကြေးကင်း၏။ နိဟ္သံသယ သည် ရိရှိ ဖြစ်၏။ နိဗ္ဗာဏ သည် ဒေဝတာ ဖြစ်၏။ အကျင့်လမ်းသည် ‘နိෂ္ကူလ-ပရဝృတ္တိ’ ဟူ၍ မျိုးရိုးကန့်သတ်မှုမရှိ။ ဉာဏ်သည် ‘နိෂ္ကေဝလ-ဉာဏ’ ဟူ၍ မခွဲခြားသော/အဒွိတ ဉာဏ် ဖြစ်၏။

Now we shall expound the Nirvāṇa Upaniṣad. “I am the Paramahaṃsa.” The wandering renunciants are the (so‑called) ‘western marks.’ Manmatha is the guardian of the sacred precinct. The doctrine is the ‘sky’ (gagana‑siddhānta); the river is the nectar‑river with surging waves. (It is) the imperishable, the stainless. Niḥsaṃśaya is the seer (ṛṣi). Nirvāṇa is the deity. The activity is ‘without lineage’ (niṣkula‑pravṛtti). The knowledge is ‘non‑exclusive’/‘non‑dual’ (niṣkevala‑jñāna).
