Skanda Purana — Prabhasa Khanda, Shloka 30

एतदेव यदा पद्ममभूद्धैरण्मयं जगत् । तद्वृत्तांताश्रयांतं तत्पाद्ममित्युच्यते बुधैः

Transliteration

etadeva yadā padmamabhūddhairaṇmayaṃ jagat | tadvṛttāṃtāśrayāṃtaṃ tatpādmamityucyate budhaiḥ

Translation

ဤအကြောင်းအရာသည် ပဒ္မ (ကြာပန်း) ပေါ်ထွန်း၍ စကြဝဠာသည် ရွှေရောင်ဖြစ်လာသည့် ကာလ၏ ဝတ္ထုကို အခြေခံထားသဖြင့် ပညာရှိတို့က «ပဒ္မ ပုရာဏ» ဟု ခေါ်ကြ၏။
