वसिष्ठ उवाच । राक्षसत्वं प्रपन्नेन त्वया पार्थिवसत्तम । ब्राह्मणा बहवो ध्वस्तास्तथा विध्वंसिता मखाः । तेषां त्वं पार्थिवश्रेष्ठ संस्पृष्टो ब्रह्महत्यया
vasiṣṭha uvāca | rākṣasatvaṃ prapannena tvayā pārthivasattama | brāhmaṇā bahavo dhvastāstathā vidhvaṃsitā makhāḥ | teṣāṃ tvaṃ pārthivaśreṣṭha saṃspṛṣṭo brahmahatyayā
ဝသိဋ္ဌက ပြောသည်– «အရှင် မင်းတော်အမြတ်ဆုံး၊ သင်သည် ရက္ခသအဖြစ်သို့ ကျရောက်သွားသောအခါ ဗြာဟ္မဏာများ အများအပြားကို ဖျက်ဆီးခဲ့ပြီး ယဇ္ဉပူဇာများကိုလည်း ပျက်စီးစေခဲ့သည်။ ထို့ကြောင့် အရှင် အုပ်စိုးရှင်အမြတ်ဆုံး၊ သင်သည် ဗြဟ္မဏသတ်ခြင်း၏ အပြစ် (ဗြဟ္မဟတ္ယာ) နှင့် ထိတွေ့လာပြီ»။
