मृकण्ड उवाच । मृत्युनाऽलिंगितं बालमस्मदीयं मुनीश्वराः । भवद्भिरद्य संरक्ष्य कुलं कृत्स्नं समुद्धृतम्
mṛkaṇḍa uvāca | mṛtyunā'liṃgitaṃ bālamasmadīyaṃ munīśvarāḥ | bhavadbhiradya saṃrakṣya kulaṃ kṛtsnaṃ samuddhṛtam
မೃကဏ္ဍက ဆိုသည်– «အို မုနိရှင်တို့၊ မရဏသည် ငါ့ကလေးကို အလျင်ကတည်းက ဖက်တွယ်ထားခဲ့၏။ သို့သော် ယနေ့ သင်တို့က ကာကွယ်ပေးသဖြင့် ငါ့မျိုးရိုးတစ်လျှောက်လုံး ကယ်တင်၍ မြှောက်တင်ခံရပြီ။»
