मृकण्ड उवाच । कस्मात्त्वं विप्रशार्दूल वीक्ष्येमं मम दारकम् । सुचिरं विस्मयाविष्टस्ततोऽभूः सस्मिताननः
mṛkaṇḍa uvāca | kasmāttvaṃ vipraśārdūla vīkṣyemaṃ mama dārakam | suciraṃ vismayāviṣṭastato'bhūḥ sasmitānanaḥ
မృကဏ္ဍုက ပြော၏—“ဗြာဟ္မဏတို့အနက် ကျားသဖွယ် မြတ်သော ဗိပရရှာဒူလာ၊ ငါ့သားငယ်ဤသူကို ကြည့်ပြီးနောက် အချိန်ကြာကြာ အံ့ဩမှုတွင် နစ်မြုပ်ကာ နောက်ဆုံး မျက်နှာပြုံးလာရခြင်းသည် အဘယ်ကြောင့်နည်း?”
