Triśaṅku
Listener: Vasiṣṭha
Scene: Triśaṅku, earnest and intense, pleads to Vasiṣṭha for favor, asserting the sage’s omnipotence; Vasiṣṭha remains composed, weighing dharma.
It highlights reliance on a sage’s spiritual power and grace, while also foreshadowing the ethical tension between personal desire and dharmic propriety.
No tīrtha is directly named; the verse is part of a narrative embedded in the Tīrthamāhātmya section.
No specific rite is prescribed here; it is a petition for the sage’s favor to accomplish a desired spiritual goal.
