याज्ञवल्क्य उवाच । तथापि देव मे शुद्धिर्हृदयस्य न जायते । तस्माद्वद सुरश्रेष्ठ प्रायश्चित्तं विशुद्धये
yājñavalkya uvāca | tathāpi deva me śuddhirhṛdayasya na jāyate | tasmādvada suraśreṣṭha prāyaścittaṃ viśuddhaye
ယာဇ္ဉဝလ္က്യက ပြောသည်။ «သို့ပင်ဖြစ်သော်လည်း အို ဒေဝ၊ ကျွန်ုပ်၏နှလုံးသား၌ သန့်ရှင်းမှု မပေါ်ပေါက်ပါ။ ထို့ကြောင့် အို နတ်တို့အထက်မြတ်ဆုံး၊ ပြည့်စုံသန့်ရှင်းရန် ပရాయశ္စိတ္တ (အပြစ်လျော်) ကို မိန့်ကြားပါ»။
