सूत उवाच । चमत्कारपुरे पूर्वं धारानामेति विश्रुता । आसीत्तपस्विनी साध्वी नागरी ब्राह्मणोत्तमा । तस्याः सख्यमरुन्धत्या आसीत्पूर्वं सुमेधया
sūta uvāca | camatkārapure pūrvaṃ dhārānāmeti viśrutā | āsīttapasvinī sādhvī nāgarī brāhmaṇottamā | tasyāḥ sakhyamarundhatyā āsītpūrvaṃ sumedhayā
စူတက ပြောတော်မူသည်—ရှေးကာလ၌ ချမတ်ကာရပုရ မြို့တွင် «ဓာရာ» ဟူသော နာမဖြင့် ကျော်ကြားသည့် နာဂရီ ဗြာဟ္မဏ မိန်းမတစ်ဦး ရှိခဲ့သည်။ သူမသည် တပသ္စရိယာပြုသော သာဓွီ၊ ဗြာဟ္မဏတို့အနက် အထူးမြတ်သူ ဖြစ်၏။ အရင်ကာလတွင် သူမသည် ဉာဏ်ပညာကောင်းမြတ်သော အရုန္ဓတီနှင့် မိတ်သဟာယ ဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်။
