Narrative context (addressed to Rāma/Raghūttama; speaker not explicit in this verse)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Rāma (Raghūttama)
Scene: A solemn riverside/tank setting where a pilgrim, seated in yogic composure, relinquishes life peacefully; attendants chant; the tīrtha’s sanctity is suggested by luminous aura over the water.
A powerful tīrtha can elevate even the fallen when one relinquishes life with mental composure and faith.
The verse praises the unnamed tīrtha being described in Nāgarakhaṇḍa, Tīrthamāhātmya (Adhyāya 103), whose power grants Brahmaloka.
No ritual is prescribed here; it states the fruit (phala) of prāṇasaṃtyāga (death) at the sanctified place with samādhāna (composure).
