करंधम उवाच । पितृभ्यो दीयते श्राद्धं स्वकर्मवशगाश्च ते । स्वर्गस्था नरकस्था वा कथं तैरुपभुज्यते
karaṃdhama uvāca | pitṛbhyo dīyate śrāddhaṃ svakarmavaśagāśca te | svargasthā narakasthā vā kathaṃ tairupabhujyate
ကရံဓမက ပြောသည်– «ပိတೃ (Pitṛs) များအတွက် ရှရဒ္ဓ (Śrāddha) ကို ပူဇော်ပေးကြသော်လည်း၊ သူတို့သည် ကိုယ်ပိုင်ကံကြမ္မာ၏ အာဏာအောက်တွင် ချုပ်နှောင်ထားကြသည်။ ကောင်းကင်ဘုံ၌ နေသည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ နရက၌ နေသည်ဖြစ်စေ—ကျွန်ုပ်တို့ ပူဇော်သည့်အရာကို သူတို့ မည်သို့ သုံးဆောင်နိုင်မည်နည်း?»
