Narrator/devotee
Listener: King/interlocutor in frame narrative
Scene: An ascetic begins a life of steady tapas: seated in meditation before a Śiva-liṅga, offering flowers and water; shadowy forms labeled ‘brahmahatyā’ dissolve into light.
Śiva-bhakti and Śiva-pūjā are portrayed as supremely purifying, capable of dissolving even grave karmic burdens.
No specific site is named; the verse praises the universal efficacy of Śiva worship.
Śiva-pūjā (worship of Śiva) is stated as the means of release from sins.
