Tirtha: Pañcatīrthikā (five-tīrtha circuit)
Type: kshetra
Scene: A pilgrim returns to a shrine of Daṇḍapāṇi—depicted as a stern guardian holding a staff—offering a final namaskāra, lamp, and flowers, signifying the completion of a five-stop sacred circuit.
Kāśī’s sanctity is approached through structured circuits; completing the prescribed set is itself a dharmic act with cumulative merit.
Daṇḍapāṇi is the concluding/return point named for the pañcatīrthikā sequence.
Complete the pañcatīrthikā by returning to (or worshiping again at) Daṇḍapāṇi.
