Skanda
Listener: Ghaṭodbhava (addressed as Deva-deva, Ghaṭodbhava)
Scene: Skanda narrates: after the Yoginī host departs, the Lord of gods (Ghaṭodbhava) sends Aṃśumālin as a swift emissary to learn Kāśī’s developments.
Kāśī’s sacred history is treated as worthy of divine inquiry; the tīrtha’s ‘pravṛtti’ is preserved through transmitted narration.
Kāśī is foregrounded as the locus whose events are significant enough to prompt divine investigation.
No direct rite is prescribed here; it introduces a narrative action—sending a messenger to learn about Kāśī.
