Scene: A devotee prays to a cow envisioned as Lakṣmī: lotus motifs, gentle radiance, and a subtle presence of devas in the background; the devotee’s sins dissolve like dark mist.
The cow is revered as a manifestation of divine auspiciousness (Lakṣmī), and devotion to her is framed as a means of pāpa-kṣaya (sin-removal).
The Kāśī Khaṇḍa context supports the soteriological theme of purification; the verse itself is a devotional prayer rather than a site-description.
A prayerful invocation: calling upon Lakṣmī in dhenu-form to remove sin—usable as a mantra-like supplication during go-sevā or dāna.
